This one is a combo suck/wtf (mostly suck with a bit of wtf, I think) that happened a few nights ago.

I'm on cash when a girl comes up. She has two guys with her, but other than offering a few suggestions to her about what to do, they aren't particularly relevant to the story. She has a shirt that has a damage tag on it; at my store, we offer 20% off slightly damaged items (and that makes them final sale). There's no wiggle room on this, period. Cue script format:

Me: ringin' ur itemz
DL: discount lady

Me: So this one will be 20% off because of the little snag on the front right there. (There was a tag on the shirt saying this, but I always reiterate for customers just in case.)
DL: Yeah… is this the only one of this shirt you guys have?
Me: Unfortunately, yes. It was pretty popular and sold fast! *smilesmile*
DL: Okay, well, I really think it should be 25% off. I mean, there's a HOLE. (There wasn't. It was a little snag.)
Me: I'm sorry, the damage discount is 20% only.
DL: Well, would a manager make it 25% off? Can you call the manager?
Me: I can call him if you'd like, but he wouldn't make it 25% off. It's 20% off only.
DL: *deliberates for 5 minutes, examining the snag with one of the guys and all the while saying that she's not sure it's worth $28 and that she'd definitely take it if it was 25% off and continuing to ask me if I'm absolutely positive that the manager won't make the price lower* Welllllllll… I guess I'll take it.
Me: Okay! *ring ring, swipe card, sign here please, blah blah blah*
Me: Here you go, have a great night!
DL (super condescendingly): Just so you know, next time if you call a manager they do have the authority to change the discount. That REALLY should've been 25% off.
Me: … … … Yes, I realize they have the authority to do so, but we don't change the damage discount. It's 20% off. *smilesmile*

She left after that, and out of curiosity I asked my manager if there are any kinds of exceptions. Other than offering 40% off if the item is severely damaged and the customer really wants it, no. There are not.

I live in an small apartment with my parents. When I came home today, the house smelt. I think it's coming from my parents' room, which in turn is coming from either or both of them. They are mostly healthy, so it's not like sickly-old-people smell sort of thing.

 So I was on the nuvaring for 4 weeks, and then I took it out, it just wasn't working out. I had my period for 7 days (Normally 4) and it stopped for 2 days. Then out of nowwhere, I get a huge gush of blood and clots and it stops like 3 hours later. This might be TMI but my husband and I normally have really rough sex (for the past 5 years) and now I'm bleeding after sex as well. Just a bit for an hour or two but I'm really like wtf? Any ideas/suggestions here? I called my doc but they are closed today, I'm going to call again tomorrow but I just wanted to hear some ideas/opinions.

I'd like the word for "hair" in as many languages as possible, transliteration/IPA included if you can. I've already got:
·Haitian Creole - cheve
·Hindi - baal/बाल
·French - cheveux
·Spanish - pelo (cabello?)
·Japanese - kami?
·Hebrew - se'ara?

If the language you know makes a distinction between head and body, feel free to include that too. Thanks!


And a bonus question: is there a word in English for 'pertaining to hair'? Like sartorially is 'pertaining to clothes,' physically pertains to something physical, etc. If there isn't, I'm going to make one, probably using one of the words I get from you guys. English has plenty of German/French/Greek/Latin in it, maybe I'll build on one of those words. Or go totally different, using the word from Swahili or Chinese or Guaraní?
